In India, Battlegrounds Mobile is now available to download for Android users, but before getting too excited, this is just an early preview and only available to those who have signed up for the beta.
Battlegrounds Mobile India release date
Kreton released Battlegrounds Mobile India on Thursday morning (June 17) as an early surprise. Nevertheless, it is also meant for Beta Testers. Earlier, it had been reported that Battlegrounds Mobile India for the Indian version of PUBG Mobile would be released on June 18 (Friday).
A description on Google Play states that players can opt out of the Beta test and download the public version when it is released.
On Twitter, some people have shared screenshots demonstrating the download process. It is evident from the screenshot that the Battlegrounds Mobile India app is roughly 720MB in size.
Who can avail Battlegrounds Mobile India?
Android users who registered their interest can now access the open beta through Google Play. As of now, Krafton has not explained how it chose select users to be beta testers.
You shouldn’t be discouraged if the Battlegrounds Mobile India game doesn’t seem to have a download button because Krafton says this is a testing program. As a result, the game will be available to everyone once it has been rolled out more widely.

What’s new in Battlegrounds Mobile India?
The Battlegrounds Mobile India game takes a lot of visual cues from the earlier PUBG Mobile version, which was banned in India in 2017. A Battlegrounds Mobile India similar to PUBG Mobile allows users to form a team and fight in a battle royale style game where multiple players join in with the last one standing winning the battleground.
This game will offer multiple gameplay modes, including battle royale mode, free firefight, and one-on-one TDM battles.
It also confirms minimum systems requirements for the game, which include at least 2GB of RAM and Android 5.1.1.
The Battlegrounds Mobile India Facebook page confirms that there will be more slots for open beta users. Additionally, the post states that the game will save and make available in-game progress and purchases that players make on the final version.
The screenshot below shows the moment you visit the Battlegrounds for Mobile India page you are greeted by a message that says that you can pre-register to avail yourself of this game. Currently, the Battlegrounds Mobile India app’s testing program is accepting no more volunteers since it has reached its maximum number of testers, even though it will be accepting more soon.
As the pre-registration period for Battlegrounds Mobile in India started on May 18, tomorrow would have been the date for the game to launch, as the date coincides with the day a game launches in the United States.
There were rumors that the Battlegrounds Mobile India would be available starting tomorrow, but Krafton appears to be waiting a little while before releasing it for everyone.
