The much-awaited JioPhone Next will be unveiled at the 4th Foundation Conference to be held in 2021. Mr. Mukesh Ambani, Chairman, and Managing Director, Reliance Industries Ltd., introduced the JioPhone Next, which will be the most affordable 4G smartphone in the Indian market and will provide easy access to 4G all. Earlier, Reliance had launched phones like JioPhone and JioPhone 2 with affordable options.
For the JioPhone Next smartphone for India, Reliance Jio has partnered with Google to launch a fully built Android for the JioPhone Next and an optimized Play Retailer option using the Play operating system as the primary platform. Thus, the JioPhone Next is a smartphone built for Android and Play Retailer.
Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, said of the JioPhone Next, “Our goal is to make information accessible and affordable for Indians in their language, create new services to meet India’s unique needs and underpin the enterprise experience. As the next step in this creative and visionary endeavor, we are excited to announce a partnership with Google to develop a new affordable smartphone, the Jio.
Our team has optimized the Android OS model for this device. It supports languages, translation capabilities, has a great digital camera, and the latest Android updates. It is designed for India and will open new possibilities for thousands of new customers discovering the internet for the first time.
Let’s take a look at some of the key options of the Next JioPhone.
JioPhone Next. Expected price and availability
According to the report, the JioPhone Next is likely to be unveiled at the Ganesh Chaturthi event, i.e., on September 10, but the smartphone’s price has not been revealed yet. However, in terms of design, the smartphone could be priced below Rs 5,000 as the rear cover bezel, speakers are thicker, and there is no fingerprint sensor. The smartphone will be launched for Rs. 5,000, which is one of the highest in the world. It also faced some problems in the process. I had to deal with several issues.
JioPhone Next: options and specifications
As far as specifications are concerned, Reliance has not released a spec sheet. However, in practice, we believe that the JioPhone Next will have a 5-inch LCD screen with thick edges on all four corners. There is a single camera sensor in the center of the back, with an LED flash and Jio branding underneath. There are two buttons on the right side of the device, one of which is functional, and the other is a quantity toggle. In addition, the speaker grill could be located at the back and should be made of plastic.
The JioPhone Next comes with an optimized model of the Android working system. Sundar Pichai assured buyers that the phone would be able to launch with Android updates. In addition, the phone comes with a voice-first option that allows customers to consume content and control the phone in their native language.
There may also be a dedicated button to translate on-screen content into the customer’s spoken language. Learn Out Loud and Translate Now, included in the operating system, can be used for any text that appears on the phone’s screen, including web pages, applications, messages, and even photos. The JioPhone Next also makes Google Assistant very responsive. With the voice assistant, customers can learn about climate change, ratings, and more.
As for the digital camera, Reliance says it has carefully optimized the phone’s digital camera module to provide great photos and videos without the need for a high-quality camera. In low light conditions, users can expect better image quality and dynamic image changes. In addition, Reliance has partnered with Snap to integrate Snapchat video for India directly into the cell phone’s digital camera.
